Making a Splash for Our Community
Council of Hope & The City of Garden Plain Aquatic Center Partnership
A community vision. A shared commitment. A place for generations to come.
A Place for Everyone to Thrive
The City of Garden Plain and Council of Hope, Inc. are partnering to raise funds for Garden Plain’s new community aquatic facility—a project designed to bring families together, create opportunities for youth, and strengthen our community for generations to come.
Located at the north end of City Park, the new aquatic center offers something for everyone, including a zero-entry pool, shallow-water play area, lap swimming lanes, slides, a diving board, shade structures, and a bathhouse with concessions. More than a place to swim, this facility will serve as a gathering place for recreation, family memories, fitness, and community connection.

A Community Investment
With an estimated project cost of $3.27 million, approximately half of the project is funded through a grant from the National Park Service, administered through the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks’ Land and Water Conservation Fund.
The City of Garden Plain and Council of Hope are working together to raise additional funds to help cover the remaining costs and reduce the amount that must be financed through public bonds. Every contribution helps support this important community investment.
Building More Than a Pool
This project represents the power of a community working together. From helping children learn to swim and providing recreational opportunities to creating youth employment and bringing families together, the aquatic center will be an investment in the health, connection, and future of Garden Plain.
Join the City of Garden Plain and Council of Hope in making this vision a reality. Together, we can build a place where memories are made, friendships grow, and our community thrives.
Every contribution makes a difference. Every supporter is part of the story.
